“Why sit here until you die?”
“Start where you are with what you have, make something of it and never be satisfied.”

If you have traveled 75th Street from State to Cottage Grove between July 27th and now, you have witnessed what appears to be the devastation of a business district. Why? Because of the 75th Street Sewer Project. While we view this project as a ‘necessary inconvenience’, it was not expected to have caused such a drastic revenue loss to the business district.
Dr. King’s question looms forward: “Where do we go from here: Chaos or Community?” Many businesses, professional volunteers and local citizens have chosen COMMUNITY.
As we are concluding this ‘necessary inconvenience’ there are several things you can do to assure that we have a viable business district once this is over:
- Become part of the planning team to Save 75th Street.
- Encourage your family and friends to join you as you ‘Walk, Shop, Dine' on 75th Street.
- Shift some of your spending to businesses on 75th Street.
- Take advantage of the promotions that will be available starting with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, October 23, 2009, 10:00a.m. at 75th and King Drive.
A walking business seminar will follow the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
